A First Time For Everything. 5-30-22: Day 1 ABROAD

This trip is full of a lot of first times for me. I’ve never traveled alone before, that’s a huge step, already not knowing the ropes of basic travel, but now I’m traveling internationally to study sports Journalism in Paris. At first thought, you might think I’m insane, but it’s time for me to grow as a human being and get out into the world. Going through Metro Detroit airport trying to navigate getting to my gate worked up quite a bit of stress. I could hear my heart thumping in distress. Things didn't get much easier for me.  I got on the plane to Paris. My seat was right next to the lavatory, making it hard to shut my eyes because I was constantly hearing the toilet flushing. Let’s simulate now the landing; we made it. My excitement is through the roof; I am ready to start things in Paris, prepared to talk about some cool stuff in the world around me. After I unpacked today, I did a little bit of exploring to get familiar with the beautiful town around me. Stay tuned for my next blog, where I digest my first day of class.     Dear Evan: Love the Blog!! Sorry you had the bathroom near you!!! and that the tv didn't work. All part of traveling. However, the best is yet to come! Enjoy the days and experience everything!

  Meet former Italian rhythmic   Olympian G ymnast  Elisa Blanchi. Elisa is 34 years old now. She started when she was just three years of age. To her name, she has 100 international medals, including five gold results at the world championships. She has appeared in three Olympic games: Athens when she was just 16, Beijing in 2008, and London in 2012. Her training is no joke. She would wake up, train for eight hours, and then go to school.     In these types of competitions, Routine was essential to Elisa, especially on the day of the competition. It would start early in the morning with makeup and some good food; she then would head to the SportsCenter, where she gets some training and relax before the match. Before I get going with today’s blog,  I want to take the time to thank those who have been giving me words of encouragement and sharing their thoughts in the comment section about what they just read.
